Fagraea berteriana is a member of the Gentianaceae family and is native to Samoa and South Pacific.
This is a small spreading tree to about 5 metres, or a large shrub. It is indigenous to the Samoa Islands where it is known as Pua Keni Keni which means” ten cent flower”.
It can be pruned to a large shrub or left as a small tree that is beautifully fragrant with tubular flowers of creamy white which turn yellow as the day progresses and are dispersed throughout the tree.
