Description
HOYA CUMINGIANA IML 0168
FEATURES: Hoya cumingiana is a hybrid species and has strong upright stems that can cascade when they get longer. The flowers 8mm across and 12mm long in a star form in bunches of 10 to15 hanging from the stems. This Hoya is very hardy and reasonably fast growing, requires some covering areas in cold climates.
INDOORS: Most Hoya are well suited to hanging baskets or ladders and can be grown indoors under pot culture in a warm position but flowering is sometimes difficult.
IN GROUND: Dig the hole twice the size of the pot and plant level with the surrounding soil. Mounding can help with wetter soils. The vine will enjoy most soil types but prefers well drained gravelly soils, moist but not wet, warm but frost free above 4 degrees. Mulch well to conserve water.
GREATEST SATISFACTION: Prune after flowering but don’t cut off flower buds as flowers appear each year on the same bud. Fertilise during growing period and withdraw water in the colder months.
REWARD: SIT BACK AND ENJOY THIS FRAGRANT HOYA!
