BRUGMANSIA SANGUINEA
cv. ‘CLEMANTINE’
Brugmansia sanguinea cv. ‘Clemantine’ is a hybrid of Brugmansia sanguinea and is a member of the Solinaceae family.
It gives a beautiful display throughout spring and summer of long trumpet shaped double apricot/yellow flowers and is also known as the Angels Trumpet. Clemantine flowers several times during the year.
The flowers are delightfully sweet scented in the evenings and through the night.
Clemantine prefers morning sun and afternoon shade in well-drained soil.
Prune well in winter to keep a compact shape and flowers will appear 8 weeks later.
It grows 1.8metres high x 3metres wide.
Brugmansia will tolerate light frost but more protracted cold spells may cause more damage, however once mature will reshoot.
