CEROPEGIA AMPLIATA
HORNY WONDER
Ceropegia ampliata is native to South African and is a member of the Apocynaceae family.
It has thick fleshy roots and succulent stems can grow up to 2 m and more in length with tiny leaves that are about 3mm long. The flowers are large and appear in the summer until about March.
In the winter it should be kept dry and it can take temperatures down to 8°C. If grown in good conditions it can grow a number of metres in each year and forms a very nice hanging basket.
Ceropegia ampliata is best used as a container plant under roofed patios, on verandas, balconies of flats or any other place in and around the house where space is restricted.
