BOW TIE VINE, SILK CREPE FLOWER
Dalchampia aristolochiaefolia is an evergreen climber with green heart-shaped leaves and bright mauve-pink flowers in summer and autumn and spot flowers at other times. The vine is so named because the flowers actually feel like silk. It grows in full sun or part shade, in well drained moisture retentive soil.
It looks great trailing through other vines or stand alone on a fence or trellis and in conjunction with other vines such as Pandorea.
The Bow Tie vine is frost hardy and grows to a height of 5 metres. It will grow in full sun or partial sun and once established is semi drought tolerant.
