Parthenocissus tricuspidata veitchii is a hardy climber that climbs by sucker pads. It heralds from England and is fast growing and can reach a height of 18 metres or is useful as a ground cover. It is very hardy and is very frost hardy.
Plants are very tolerant of pruning and can be cut right back to within 1 metre of the base if required to rejuvenate the plant this should be done in spring. Space plantings at about 2.5 – 3 metres.
This climber gives a great colour show with leaves fading from green to shades through to crimson in the autumn.
