Description
TECOMANTHE DENDROPHYLLA FLAVA
Tecomanthe dendrophylla flava is a member of the Bignoniaceae family and is native of New Guinea.
It is a vigorous twining climber growing up to 5 or more metres in height. The foliage is evergreen.
The flowers are long and about 140 mm and are cream to yellow and form clusters of 6-8 in each cluster. They are produced from each node of the stem wood in late winter to early spring right through the warmer months.
This vine is frost sensitive but grows very well in drier soils.
