The Gold Finger plant is member of the Solanaceae family and is native to South America
It grows to around 2.5 metres and is fast growing it likes sun to partial shade.
The leaves are leathery on this woody vine and forms yellow-orange fleshy flowers at the tips of the branches. It is a member of the potato family but grows nothing like one. The aggressive clinging roots of this plant allow it to grow on trees as well as in the garden. It is ever-blooming and a fast grower that needs pruning to control shape and size.
It is hardy down to – 2 degrees C and it also re-sprouts reliably after more severe freezes.
