Description
CLERODENDRUM SPLENDENS
GLORY BOWER
Clerodendrum splendens is a member of the Verbenaceae family and is a native of West Africa.
The flowers are brilliantly red in profusion in the winter months.
The foliage is evergreen and the vine is as tough as old boots and can be pruned severely if necessary, having said that it can also be kept very nicely as shrub form if required with some shaping.
It will withstand a light frost but precautions should be taken. If allowed to climb a supporting structure needs to be provided.
The winter colour is truly worth the effort.
ENJOY THIS FLORIFEROUS VINE!
